Hi there, I'm Abby
Photographer and communication designer
Hi, I’m Abbygail, but everyone calls me Abby — the creative behind Spigot Studios, where design and photography meet to tell stories that feel honest and human.
The name Spigot comes from my childhood. When I was little, I had a speech difficulty — “biscuit” came out as spigot. Years later, while studying photography, I discovered that a spigot is also part of camera gear. That connection felt like a full circle — linking my voice, creativity, and the work I love.
Today, Spigot Studios is about finding beauty in process, imperfection, and connection. I focus on capturing real emotion, thoughtful design, and the small details that make something feel right.
When I’m not behind a lens or screen, you’ll probably find me with coffee, my dog Izzy, and a new creative experiment — usually involving print textures, jellyfish, or something neon.
My approach

At Spigot Studios, I believe design and photography are two sides of the same story — both built on connection.
Every project starts with understanding: the people, the idea, and the feeling behind it. My process is intuitive yet intentional — blending thoughtful design with the honesty of real moments. I look for textures, colours, and small details that make something feel alive, whether it’s a brand identity or a photograph.
I don’t chase perfection — I look for truth. Because the best work doesn’t just look good; it feels right. It tells a story that people remember.
